Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters dies at age 74

Grammy Award winner Anita Pointer of the Pointer Sisters died Saturday of most cancers, her publicist confirmed. She was 74 years previous.

Anita’s publicist Roger Neal mentioned in an announcement that she was surrounded by household when she died.

“We’re deeply saddened by the lack of Anita however comforted to know that she resides peacefully along with her daughter Jada and sisters June and Bonnie. She is the guts of all of us.” His sister Ruth, brothers Aaron and Fritz, and granddaughter Roxy McCain Poynter mentioned in an announcement.

Anita’s solely daughter, Jada, handed away in 2003, and sister and group member Bonnie died in 2020 on the age of 69. Her youngest son, June, additionally died of most cancers in 2006.
